Charges laid after another party

A Toronto woman is facing charges under the Reopening Ontario Act after allegedly hosting a party in London with too many people.

London police said they were called to a noise complaint at a home on Richmond Street near Huron Street around 12:15 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived, they determined that about 30 people were in the home.

After an investigation, police announced Wednesday that a 19-year-old woman from Toronto is charged with participating in an indoor gathering which exceeded 10 people and hosting an indoor gathering which exceeded 10 people.

She is to appear in court in February.

On Saturday night, police broke up a party on Ann Street, where there were also too many people inside a home. That incident led to charges being laid against a 20-year-old Toronto woman.
