School buses cancelled for much of the London region

It's a snow day for many school-aged kids across the London region.

School buses for Middlesex, Oxford and Elgin counties and the Red Zone have been cancelled for the day Tuesday, according to MyBigYellowBus.ca. The bus cancellations come as roads are snow-covered and slippery. A snowfall warning remains in effect for London-Middlesex and Elgin with another 15 to 25 cm of snow possible by Tuesday evening. A special weather statement is in place for Oxford.

The Thames Valley and London District Catholic school boards tweeted just after 6 a.m. that all schools within both boards will remain open.

School vehicles in the City of London will operate as usual Tuesday.
