Witnesses sought to hit-and-run involving transport

Woodstock police are looking for the driver of a transport truck that crashed into oncoming traffic and then took off from the scene.

The incident happened around 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday in the area of Norwich Avenue and Cedar Street. Police have determined the white tractor trailer was headed southbound when it crossed over the centre line and collided with an SUV.

The trucker did not stop following the crash.

No one was hurt but the SUV was significantly damaged.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call police at 519-537-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
