St. Thomas man arrested after alleged assault with dog spray

A 33-year-old is facing a trio of charges after an argument turned physical in St. Thomas.

On Friday, St. Thomas police were called to a local business regarding an unknown disturbance.

Police discovered that a man had been asked to leave the business and a quarrel took place as a result.

The argument turned physical when the man allegedly sprayed dog and coyote spray into the face of the business representative.

The St. Thomas man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, administering a noxious substance and breach of a court order. He was held pending weekend video court.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
