Pedestrian succumbs to injuries

A pedestrian who was rushed to hospital after a collision in downtown London last month has died.

London police say Joseph Robert Gordon Campbell, 58, died in hospital Wednesday, days after the collision in the area of Horton Street and Wellington Street. He was rushed to hospital with critical injuries after being hit by a vehicle around 5:45 p.m. on November 30.

An investigation by the London Police Service Traffic Management Unit is ongoing.

The incident led police to issue reminders to drivers and pedestrians alike to be aware of their surroundings and watch out for each other.
