Two charged after guns, taser seized by police

A raid on a home on Hamilton Road has led to charges against two people and the seizure of three weapons.

London police searched a home on Hamilton Road near Rectory Street on Wednesday afternoon. They seized two 22 calibre rifles and a conducted energy weapon that was made to look like a flashlight.

A 29-year-old man and a 56-year-old man are both charged with two counts of possession of a non-restricted firearm without a licence and unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.

Both men are to appear in court in March.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
