After stealing packages, porch pirate returns to rob Clarke Rd. home

London police are asking the public for help identifying a suspect who snatched a couple packages from the porch of a northeast-end home before breaking-in while the resident was inside.

The home's surveillance system captured images of a man walking up to the front door of the home at Clarke Road near Fanshawe Park Road and stealing two packages around 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday. The man left the property before returning 20 minutes later, where he opened the front door to the home and walked inside.

One resident was home at the time of the break-in, police said. However, the robbery was not detected until a day later when the homeowner noticed items missing and checked the surveillance video.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 6’0”, 40-years-old, with a medium build, short black hair and glasses. He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and black dress shoes.

Anyone who recognizes this individual or has information about this incident is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
