Woman injured in south London collision passes away

A young woman who was critically injured in a collision in November has passed away.

London police announced Monday morning that Parul Saini, 26, of London died late last week. She was rushed to hospital on November 23 after the collision on Wellington Road and Harlech Gate.

The driver of the other vehicle was treated for minor injuries.

Saini was employed at Firehouse Subs on Wellington Road in London. In a Facebook post, the restaurant expressed sympathies to her family.

"Parul was such a wonderful person to work with. Everyone in the restaurant will miss her ready smile and helpful attitude," the post said. "She was always giving compliments or a helping hand to her staff. She made sure the staff knew they were appreciated, and she was so much looking forward to the next chapter of her life starting in January to be closer to her family."

The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
