OPP warning motorists to take it easy on area highways

Provincial police are asking motorists to take their time while travelling on Christmas eve as the weather worsens.

Road conditions have become slick on portions of the 401 between London and Woodstock, as well as on area rural county highways. The OPP have already responded to numerous collisions and are advising motorists to drive according to the weather.

The 401 eastbound at Dorchester Road outside of London was closed just before 6:30 p.m. Thursday while police responded to multiple collisions.
