Two people assaulted, threatened in Boxing Day confrontation

Two people were hurt and two others arrested following a violent confrontation at a Delhi motel on Boxing Day.

Four people got into a verbal argument at a motel on James Street shortly after 10 p.m. on Saturday. The fight quickly turned physical with two people assaulted and threatened with weapons, Norfolk OPP said.

Police did not specify what type of weapons were used during the confrontation.

A 25-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man, both from Norfolk County, were arrested. They have since been charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The man also faces an additional charge of theft under $5,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
