Police investigate attempted robbery in south London

London police were called to a business in the area of Wharncliffe Road South and Base Line Road for an attempted robbery early Wednesday morning.

Shortly after 9:30 a.m. officers were observed in the Old South community searching for a suspect(s). There are no reported injuries and police have asked the public to avoid the area while they investigate.

Early reports indicate that the BMO branch located on the corner of Wharncliffe and Base Line was the business involved.

No other details have been provided while the investigation is ongoing.
