London police investigate drive-by shooting

Police confirmed reports of a shooting that took place in a south London neighbourhood on New Year's Day.

Officers were initially called to an area on Millbank Drive near Bexhill Drive for a vehicle crash just before 10 a.m. on Friday. They arrived to find one vehicle with significant damages, and say a gun was fired at the sedan during the encounter. Police continue to look for the suspect(s).

The area was closed for several hours while the LPS Major Crime Section investigated.

No one was injured and the investigation is on-going.

London police are asking anyone with information regarding the matter to call them at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
