Four charged in $5M grow-op bust

London police say four people are facing charges after officers seized over 5,000 marijuana plants from a growing operation in Hyde Park.

Officers raided a commercial property at 1490 North Routledge Park on Monday and seized a total of 5,332 pot plants at various stages of growth. Police put the value of the plants at over $5,000,0000.

Jian Mei Chen, 34, of London, 57-year-old Xiangchun Lin of Markham, 53--year-old Yingshu Chen of Scarborough, and 21-year-old Hai Qing of Toronto are charged under the Cannabis Act with Cultivating Not In a Dwelling House.

They are all to appear in court in April.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
