Police identify pedestrian hit, killed downtown

London police have released the name of a pedestrian who died after being hit by a vehicle in the downtown late last week.

Tena Marie Brunelle, 63, of London was walking on the sidewalk along Clarence Street between King and York streets when she was struck by a pickup truck around 10:30 a.m. Friday. She was rushed to hospital where she later died from her injuries.

The driver of the pickup was pulling out of the parking garage at Citi Plaza when Brunelle was hit.

The investigation is ongoing, police said Tuesday.
