Suspect in custody after convenience store robbery

A London man is facing charges after an armed robbery at a Richmond Row convenience store.

According to police, a man armed with a knife walked into the Circle K store at 595 Richmond St. around 3 a.m. Thursday and demanded cigarettes.

The man left with the stolen property and got into a waiting cab. No injuries were reported.

"Video surveillance inside the store captured the incident. A description of the suspect was provided to police. Numerous officers attended the area and the suspect was arrested on Central Avenue," police said.

Jordan Elijah, 25, of London is charged with armed robbery.
