Shots fired at a Norfolk County gas station

The Ontario Provincial Police in Norfolk County is investigating a weapons complaint near Charlotteville.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Norfolk County Highway 24 East at around 3:45 a.m., after a homeowner and their family woke up to the sounds of gunshots outside their home and business.

The owner went to investigate the noises when they realized a firearm had caused damage to the building and some of the gas pumps on the property.

A small dark coloured car was captured on security footage.

The police service says they are making attempts to identify the owner of the vehicle, and are asking nearby residents who have home security to check their systems and contact the Norfolk OPP if they come across a vehicle and/or occupants fitting the description.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
