Suspect in St. Thomas slashing surrenders

A St. Thomas man wanted for a knife attack last summer has turned himself in to police.

The incident on Hincks Street began as an argument between two men and ended when one of them slashed the other with a knife. The man who was cut was left with "life altering injuries," police said.

The 29-year-old man wanted in connection with the incident turned himself into police on Monday night. He is charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of uttering threats to cause death.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
