General Dynamics, Western make Forbes best employer list

Two high profile London employers have been named among the top 50 places to work in Canada by Forbes.

The magazine's annual list of 'Canada's Best Employers' puts General Dynamics Land Systems at #30 and Western University at #43. They are the only two London-based employers to make it onto the 2021 list of 300 companies.

The ranking was based on a survey of more than 8,000 employees who work for businesses or organizations that employ at least 500 people. Respondents were asked a variety of questions including whether they would be willing to recommend their employer to a family member or friend.

Technology and networking giant Cisco Systems in Toronto ranked number one overall. It held the number three spot last year.

Other educational institutions to make it into the top 50 included the University of Guelph (4), the University of Toronto (5), Laval University (9), Queen's University (11), and the University of Victoria (12).
