Man allegedly busted down neighbour's door over parking spot

Angry about where his neighbour had chosen to park, a St. Thomas man is alleged to have broken down an apartment door to confront him.

St. Thomas police said a vehicle was parked legally outside of an apartment building on Metcalfe Street Thursday morning when a man, irate over the vehicle's location, went to confront his neighbour. The man is alleged to have broken through the neighbour's door, damaging the door frame, in order to speak with him.

Police were called and a 44-year-old St. Thomas man was arrested. He is charged with forcible entry and mischief to property under $5,000.

Shortly after the man's arrest his girlfriend was taken into custody.

"The woman was alleged to have been blaring music from her unit in protest of her boyfriend's arrest," police said.

A 44-year-old woman is facing charges under the city's noise bylaw.
