Police investigate gunshot heard in south London

Residents in an Old South neighbourhood were unnerved following a report of a firearm being discharged.

London police received word of an alleged shot fired around Paddington Avenue near Tecumseh Avenue East shortly after noon, Friday.

Police say they have since determined that a firearm was discharged into the street near the intersection.

There are no reported injuries and officers say no weapon has been recovered.

The investigation is ongoing and investigators say more information will be provided as it becomes available.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
