Cases of COVID-19 confirmed at three Thames Valley schools

The Middlesex-London Health Unit has confirmed cases of COVID-19 at three local schools.

Three cases were confirmed at Annandale Public School, one case was confirmed at East Carling Public School, and two cases were confirmed at Louise Arbour French Immersion Public School.

The school board said that all staff, parents and guardians of the school communities were immediately notified. All three schools will remain open.

The health unit is investigating the cases to identify close contacts and follow up directly to provide specific testing advice.

If you do not receive a letter from Thames Valley, your child is not considered to be at risk. Only those staff and students who have been identified as a close contact will be asked to stay home from school and quarantine for a period of 14 days.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
