Police seize shotguns, meth from Sydenham Street home

Two London residents face a long list of charges after police seized two shotguns, a replica handgun, and nearly $14,000 in methamphetamine from a home on Sydenham Street.

Officers responded to the home near Talbot Street for reports of a man allegedly armed with a gun at around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.

Later in the morning, at around 9 a.m., two suspects were taken into police custody and a search of the home was conducted, leading to the seizure of:

138 grams of crystal methamphetamine 473 ml promethazine with codeine One gram of fentanyl Two 12 gauge shotguns (sawed-off) 75 rounds of 12 gauge ammunition 28 rounds of .22 calibre ammunition 24 rounds of .410 calibre ammunition Replica handgun

A 34-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman each face several firearms related charges, as well as drug possession charges.

The suspects had a court dates set for Thursday.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
