Police investigating death of child

London police are investigating the death of a child.

Police and paramedics were called to a home on Nelson Street, southeast of Hamilton Road and Adelaide Street around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday. A pre-school aged child was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy has since been performed, but the cause of death has not yet been determined, police said on Tuesday.

The police major crime section is assisting the Office of the Chief Coroner with the ongoing investigation into the child's death.
