St. Thomas teen hurt in knife assault

A St. Thomas man is facing charges after a 14-year-old was hurt in an assault involving a knife.

Police in St. Thomas were called about a disturbance at a home in the city on Sunday afternoon. When officers arrived they found a 14-year-old suffering undisclosed injuries that required medical treatment.

An investigation determined the teen had been assaulted inside the home.

A 38-year-old man was arrested and a knife was seized, police said.

The man is charged with assault with a weapon and four counts of breach of release conditions.
