Provincial police have determined no foul play was involved in the death of a 38-year-old woman who was killed in an apartment fire last week in West Lorne.
April Calcutt died after fire consumed the unit she rented above a business on Graham Road around 7a .m. last Wednesday. An initial sweep of the apartment by fire crews found no one inside. Calcutt's body was discovered the following day by fire investigators.
An investigation by the Ontario Fire Marshal, Elgin OPP, and the Office of the Chief Coroner has deemed the blaze non-suspicious in nature.
