Suspects sought in attempted armed car theft

Surveillance photos have been released of two men who allegedly pulled a gun on a woman in east London in an attempt to steal her vehicle.

London police say the woman had used a remote starter to warm up her car in the area of Adelaide Street North and Huron Street on Sunday. As she walked to the running vehicle she was stopped by two men who pulled a handgun and demanded she turn over the keys.

The woman ran from the area and called police.

"The victim was still in possession of her key fob, therefore the vehicle was not drivable," police said.

The area was searched following the incident, but police were not able to find the men.

They have now released three surveillance photos of two suspects.

The first is described as Caucasian, 18-22 years-old. He was wearing a green ‘Jordan’ ball cap, black puffy winter jacket, black face mask, green puma jogging pants with a white stripe down the outside of each leg, and black running shoes with squared-off heel.

The second suspect is said to have been Caucasian, 18-22 years-old. He was wearing a black toque, black sunglasses, white surgical face mask, black ‘DKNY’ jacket, camouflage pants with a white stripe down the outside of each leg, and red running shoes.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
