UPDATE: Social media post leads to weapon and drug seizure

Two people are facing charges after London police raided a hotel room in the city's south end.

Around 5 a.m. Friday, a citizen notified police about a social media post that involved two men and multiple weapons. According to police, the post had been created locally.

In response to the tip, several officers investigated and attended the hotel.

Four males were arrested. Police seized a replica handgun, brass knuckles, a prohibited flick knick and other various knives as well as fentanyl and a variety of other drugs.

As a result of the investigation, police obtained a warrant which was later executed. Two males are now facing multiple charges including:

- Two counts of possessing a scheduled 1 substance for trafficking

- Unauthorized possession of a firearm

- Possessing a loaded firearm

- Careless storage of a firearm

- Four counts of failing to comply with Youth Criminal Justice Act

- Four counts of possessing firearm or ammunition

According to police, the names of the accused will not be released at this time.
