London Beer Store employee tests positive for COVID-19

The Beer Store at Adelaide Street and Lorne Avenue has undergone a deep cleaning after one of its employees tested positive for COVID-19.

The case was confirmed by the Beer Store late Monday. The infected staffer last worked at the store on March 29.

"As our team member receives care, we are sending our positive thoughts and best wishes," the Beer Store said in a statement. "All potentially affected employees will either symptom monitor or self-isolate based on circumstances as a precautionary measure."

The location was closed for a day while it underwent a thorough disinfectant deep cleaning. It is scheduled to reopen to the public on Tuesday.

The Middlesex London Health Unit is working with the store in light of the recent case.

The Beer Store has a mandatory employee face covering policy in all of its stores, in addition to "robust" cleaning and physical distancing protocols.
