UPDATE: Charges laid in fatal stabbing

London police have one man in custody and are searching for another in the city's second homicide of 2021.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Hilton Place south of Dundas Street around 9 p.m. on Monday after two men got into a fight. The altercation escalated with one of the men being assaulted and then stabbed, London police said.

A 28-year-old man with stab wounds was rushed to hospital. He was pronounced dead shortly after. He has been identified as Alex Eduardo Pacheco (shown above).

A 26-year-old man was arrested at the scene. Jessie Aaron McConnell is charged with second degree murder.

Police are also searching for a second suspect. Jonathon Christopher Ysebaert, 27, of London (shown below) is also charged with second degree murder.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
