Man charged after police seize loaded gun

A London man is facing charges after police seized a loaded handgun.

According to police, a man was arrested in relation to an ongoing investgation.

When the man was arrested, police seized a .22 calibre handgun and a magazine that was loaded with six bullets.

A 26-year-old man is charged with two counts of careless storage of a firearm, and one count each of unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, unauthorized possession of ammunition, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm without a licence, and failing to comply with a release order.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
