London Police investigating hate-related graffiti in east end park

Police are investigating after a swastika was found painted on a brick wall in Constitution Park.

According the police, the damage was made to a to a building in the park on Trossacks Avenue at Fanshawe Park Road East in northeast London on Saturday. Police said the graffiti consisted of a "hate-related symbol" with a line drawn through it painted on a brick wall.

Relief Media Officer Cst. Derek Wheeler confirmed that the symbol was a swastika.

The investigation is still ongoing and police have not named a suspect.

Police are appealing to the public for assistance and have asked anyone with information to call London Police at  (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
