84-year-old woman injured during armed robbery

Woodstock police are investigating an armed vehicle robbery that left an elderly woman injured.

At around 6:15 p.m. Monday, a man attempted to steal a vehicle at a business in the area of Norwich Avenue near Juliana Drive and Bruin Boulevard.

The man threatened the victim with a weapon before fleeing the scene in the stolen vehicle.

Officers were called and an 84-year-old woman was taken to hospital with a minor injury.

Police began to search for a black 2013 GMC Sierra, plated AT 16890, with a decal that says "Mike's Automotive" in white letters across the rear window.

No other details on if a suspect has been arrested have been provided. Woodstock police are thanking the public for assisting the victim.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
