COVID-19 cases identified at four Thames Valley schools

While most students won't be back in class anytime soon, the Thames Valley District School Board reported four new COVID-19 cases late Tuesday evening.

The latest confirmed infections are being reported at H.B. Beal secondary, and Westmount in London, and Harrisfield in Ingersoll. Forest Park in St. Thomas also confirmed a new case, marking the school's third active case.

Only those identified as close contacts of the affected individuals will receive a letter from the school board indicating as such.

On Monday, the Ontario government announced students across the province will transition to remote learning on April 19 following the end of the spring break.

No specific return date has been announced by the government, though they have indicated the measure could last upwards of six weeks.
