London woman wins $1M

A London woman's bank account is a lot bigger, thanks to a winning lottery ticket.

Nicole Higgs won $1 million in the Instant Big 10 game. The 32-year-old mother got the ticket as an Easter gift from her boyfriend.

“I played my ticket and then scanned it using the OLG Lottery App. When I saw Big Winner I gasped in shock,” she said. “I could hardly hold my phone I was shaking so much. Then I asked how many zeroes were in $1 million.”

Higgs, who works in the automotive industry, said she would like to take a trip when it’s safe to travel again.  She's also considering a future purchase of a cottage.

"For now, I’ll enjoy having a million dollars in the bank,” she said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Valley Farm Variety on Huron Street in London.
