Cyclist abandons trailer load of pot

Police in Strathroy-Caradoc are looking for a suspect after an officer seized a small trailer load of pot that was being towed by a cyclist.

According to the Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service, an officer on patrol spotted a cyclist towing a small utility trailer early Tuesday morning on Saulsbury Street near Drury Lane. The cyclist hit a garbage bin and the trailer came loose. When the officer approached, the cyclist ran from the scene.

Police say the trailer contained dried marijuana which they claim weighed 31 pounds.

Police are still looking for the cyclist.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
