London man faces nine charges after pharmacy robbery

London Police say a man faces nine charges after a pharmacy was robbed by a suspect carrying a knife.

The incident happened at the Shopper's Drug Mart on Adelaide Street North near Oxford.

The suspect went into the store, picked up several items while carrying the illegal knife, and left without paying.

The man was arrested a short time later, nobody was hurt.

A 30-year-old man from London is charged with possession of a weapon, carry concealed weapon, fail to comply with release order, possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon or prohibited device knowing no authority; and five counts of possession of prohibited weapon, firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.

The accused will appear in court next week.
