Motorcycle crash victim identified

London police have released the name of a young man whose life was tragically cut short in of a collision on Friday.

Talal Petio, 20, of London died after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a collision with a vehicle in the area of Fanshawe Park Road and Trossacks Avenue.

The collision happened around 9:30 p.m. and, according to police, Petio was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The 43-year-old woman driving the other vehicle was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help Petio's family.

"Talal was taken from us much too soon at the young age of 20. He had a huge heart and lived life to the fullest," a statement on the GoFundMe page states. "With a full life ahead of him he also leaves behind a loving mother, father, older brother and sister, and dog Rosko. He will be truly missed by his family and friends."
