Middlesex residents can get free ride to vaccination appointments

A new shuttle service that will ensure vulnerable and low-income Middlesex County residents can make it to COVID-19 vaccination appointments launches on Tuesday.

The county, in partnership with Voyago, is offering the transportation service for free Monday through Sunday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

“We are so pleased that this partnership will increase access for eligible Middlesex County community members to the vaccination clinics and medical appointments," said Middlesex County Warden Cathy Burghardt-Jesson. “This service will help support and protect the health of our most vulnerable populations.”

Round-trip pick up and drop off for vaccination or medical clinic appointments and hospital visits in London or Middlesex is available from any address within the county. The shuttle must be pre-booked by calling 1-888-465-0783 anytime between 5 a.m. and midnight. All passengers will be screened for COVID-19 before boarding and face coverings are required. Shuttles will be cleaned and disinfected between passengers.

The temporary shuttle service will remain in place for the next few months.
