Otterville man identified as person killed in crash southeast of Woodstock

Provincial police have identified the man killed in a two-vehicle crash in Norwich Township.

Emergency crews were called to Curries Road and Middletown Line just before 4 p.m. on Friday after a pickup truck and SUV collided.

The driver of the SUV suffered serious injuries.

One occupant of the pickup was ejected from the vehicle and taken to hospital with serious injuries. A second occupant of the truck was taken to local hospital before being airlifted to a larger medical facility with life threatening injuries. He died two days later.

Police identified the man as 25-year-old Teunis Vanvelthuizen of Otterville.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
