Two charged after police seize replica guns, drugs from London homes

Two men are facing charges after a pair of replica guns and a variety of drugs were seized by London police during a search of two homes.

Officers with the guns and drugs section, the emergency response unit, and the crime gun task force raided the homes on Deveron Crescent and Belmont Drive early Wednesday morning. Two vehicles were also searched.

Two replica firearms, 14 grams of fentanyl, 12 grams of methamphetamine, 87 Oxycodone tablets, one gram each of cocaine and crack cocaine, a bulletproof vest, and a digital scale were seized.

Two London men, both aged 35, were arrested. One has since been charged with eight offences including possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, failure to comply with an undertaking, and possession of a Schedule I substance.

The second man is charged with one count of failure to comply with an undertaking.

Both men have future court dates.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
