Police investigating 'suspicious' death

London police have launched an investigation after the discovery of a body in the SoHo area.

Officers were called to the area of Colborne and Nelson streets around 6:50 a.m. Wednesday and found the body of a deceased man in the grass near the intersection.

It's not known yet how the man died, but police say an autopsy will be performed Thursday.

"There will be a police presence in the area throughout the day, and we’re asking members of the public to please avoid the area," police said in a news release issued Wednesday afternoon.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.
