Police were called to a home late on Tuesday night.
When officers arrived, they found a teenager outside who was said to be "intoxicated and belligerent." During their interaction with the teen, an officer was spat on.
The teen was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer.
People in southern Huron and Lambton counties are being told to limit their time outside.
