Shooting in Old East Village sends one to hospital

One person is in hospital and another is in police custody after a shooting Sunday night in London's Old East Village.

London police were called to the area of Dundas and Hewitt streets around 9:20 p.m. where they found a 27-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrested another man in connection with the shooting nearby. As of Monday morning, no charges have been laid.

"The investigation is in its early stages. More information will be provided as it becomes available," police said.
