House fire on King St. displaces three people

Three people have been displaced by a house fire in east London.

The blaze broke out at a multi-family home at 1280 King Street around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The three people inside were able to escape before firefighters arrived.

One person was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital, according to the London Fire Department.

Damage is estimated at $400,000. The Red Cross is providing assistance to those who were displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
