London man charged with human trafficking in the GTA

A 28-year-old London man is accused of human trafficking a woman in the GTA.

Durham Regional Police launched an investigation in May after a woman reported that she was trafficked at a Mississauga hotel.

The woman met the man through a mutual friend and he allegedly began trafficking her for sexual services, police said.

Trekar Blake of London is charged with trafficking in persons by exercising control and receiving material benefit.

Police have released a photo of Blake to the public to ensure there are no other victims.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Detective Constable Heron of the Durham Regional Police human trafficking unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5697.
