Two injured in motorcycle crash near Port Dover

Two people have been rushed to hospital following a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle northeast of Port Dover.

The Ontario Provincial Police said a motorcycle and an SUV collided at the intersection of Highway 6 and St. Johns Road East, on Saturday shortly before 1:42 p.m.

The driver of the motorcycle suffered serious non-life threatening injuries in the crash and was airlifted to a Hamilton-area hospital. A passenger on the motorcycle also suffered serious non-life threatening and was taken by ambulance to a Haldimand area hospital.

The driver and two passengers in the SUV were not injured.

Police have closed Highway 6 at St. Johns Road East to allow police to conduct an investigation. The road is expected to be closed until at least 6:30 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
