Police seek suspect after stabbing

Police are looking for a suspect after a mugging that resulted in one person being stabbed in Delhi.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Friday between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., the victim was approached at the Old Rail Bridge by an unknown man and was assaulted with an edged weapon.

During the assault, the victim had personal items stolen.

The victim was also taken to hospital to be treated for injuries. The extent of the victim's injuries has not been disclosed.

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a black coloured hooded sweatshirt with a bandanna covering his face.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
