Attempted murder charge laid against third person in weekend stabbing

A 20-year-old Londoner has become the third person to be charged with attempted murder in a weekend stabbing that left a man fighting for life in hospital.

Emergency crews were called about an injured person in the area of Southdale Road East and Millbank Drive around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday. A man suffering from a stab wound was found at the location. He was taken to hospital where as of Tuesday he remained in critical condition, London police said.

Two London women, aged 19 and 25, were arrested and charged with attempted murder in relation to the incident on Monday. A day later, police announced Colton Thomas, 20, of London is charged by way of warrant with one count each of attempted murder and failure to comply with a release order.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
