Three charged in home invasion, robbery

London police say two adults and a teen are facing charges after a home invasion and robbery on Monday.

Around 5 p.m., police were called about a robbery in the area of Oxford Street and Quebec Street. Three people were in a home when two others, armed with guns, came in and stole money before taking off in a vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

An investigation was launched, and on Wednesday, police announced charges against a 19-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, along with a youth who cannot be named.

The each face several charges, including unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm and possession of a Schedule 1 substance.

The 19-year-old and the youth are also charged with armed robbery and firearms charges.

All three appeared in court Tuesday and were remanded in custody.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
