Man charged in child pornography investigation

A 38-year-old London man faces charges after police allege electronic devices seized in a search contained images of the sexual abuse of children.

According to London police, information given to its Internet Child Exploitation Unit by the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children led to an investigation into "suspected possession of child pornography."

Officers searched a home on Osgoode Avenue on Thursday, September 16 and seized electronic devices and a cellular phone.

Joseph Phillip Moss, 38, of London is charged with one count of unlawful possession of child pornography.

Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
